India keeper-batter KL Rahul was delighted to see a young fan choosing him as the best player amongst a lineup from other stars on TV during an IPL commercial and offered a grateful gift to the youngster.

The current IPL 2023 was a letdown for ace Indian batsman KL Rahul. The 31-year-old right-handed batsman, who captained the Lucknow Super Giants was unable to achieve much with the bat this year before being ruled out of the competition owing to a thigh ailment.

Rahul, who had led the LSG into the IPL 2022 playoffs, could only manage 274 runs with 2 half-centuries in IPL 2023 before his season was cut short. This was a huge downfall from the previous five IPL seasons where KL Rahul had averaged more than 600 runs.

After getting ruled out of the IPL 2023, Rahul underwent surgery and is likely to remain out of action for a few more months as well.

However, for a young 4-year-old fan, KL Rahul was still the best player in the tournament.

In the viral clip, the youngster can be seen naming all ten captains of the IPL 2023 on a TV screen, and when his father asked him to pick the best player according to him, he paused for a while before naming Rahul as the best player.

After the video of this young fan went viral on social media platforms, Rahul took note of it and reacted to it by offering him his signed jersey.

"That’s so sweet. (red heart emoji) Drop me a DM with your address. I’d be delighted to give him my signed jersey," Rahul replied.
