Arshdeep Singh joins Kent for County Championship 2023

India’s pacer Arshdeep Singh has signed a deal with Kent County Cricket Club to play in the County Championship in the 2023 season. Arshdeep is the third overseas player signed by Kent for the upcoming season after George Linde and Kane Richardson.

The Kent County Cricket Club confirmed the signing of Arshdeep on Friday (March 17) as an overseas player. The left-arm swing bowler will be available for Kent up to play five matches in June and July in the County Championship, subject to regulatory approval.

He will be available for home fixtures against Surrey and Warwickshire, and away games against Northamptonshire, Essex and Nottinghamshire in the LV= Insurance County Championship 2023.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh said on the latest development: “I am excited to play red-ball cricket in England and continue to improve my skills in the first-class game. Rahul Dravid has already told me it is a club with a great history. I look forward to performing in front of Kent's Members and supporters.”

Paul Downton, Kent's director of cricket, stated: “We're delighted to have a player of Arshdeep's potential join us for five matches this summer. He has demonstrated that he has world-class skills with the white ball, and I am very confident he will be able to put those skills to good use with the red ball in the County Championship.”
