India’s U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull was also named the captain of the ICC’s 'Most Valuable Team'. This comes after India defeated England in the final of the ICC U19 World Cup 2022 in Antigua by 4 wickets and became five-time champions.
Overall, eight nations are represented in the 12-strong line up with champions India leading the way with three players included. This includes Player of the tournament, South Africa’s Dewald Brevis, who also broke the record for most runs in one edition with 506.
The side was pulled together by a selection panel including commentators Samuel Badree, Natalie Germanos, ICC Match Referee Graeme Labrooy, and journalist Sandipan Banerjee.

Pakistan’s keeper Haseebullah Khan and Teague Wyllie of Australia were named the openers of the team, while Dewald Brevis, India captain Yash Dhull, and England captain Tom Prest form the middle order.
Dunith Wellalage, Vicky Ostwal, and Raj Bawa are the all-rounders in the XI, while Josh Boyden, Awais Ali, and Ripon Mondol provide the pace attack.
Bawa impressed one and all with his ability with the bat and ball, hitting a tournament-high 162 not out against Uganda, on his way to 252 runs, and then picked a five-wicket haul in the final against England.

He won the Player of the Final for his 5/31 and for contributing 35 runs and overall picked 9 wickets in the tournament.
