In the latest iteration of the ICC Test Players’ rankings, Indian batters have seen a rise and fall both, namely Virat Kohli, who has risen in the rankings, while Rohit Sharma fell a spot due to missing the series because of an injury.
Virat Kohli has moved up two places to seventh after scores of 79 and 29 in his last match as Test captain. Rishabh Pant's unbeaten century in the second innings has lifted him 10 places to 14th. Rohit Sharma, who was earlier on the fifth position, dropped one place to sixth, as a hamstring injury led to him missing the whole tour.
Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah re-entered the top ten rankings thanks to his superlative performance with the ball.
