Ballymena won the 2021 Lagan Valley Steels tournament against Cregagh after John Glass hit six sixes in the final over when they needed 35 runs to win. He won the Player-of-the-Match award for his match-winning knock.
Ballymena was struggling at 75/6 when Glass was batting on unbeaten 30 runs at Gibson Park. They entered the final over with 113/7 on the board and required a nearly impossible effort to win the match.
But Glass pulled off the chase with his unbelievable hitting in the final over and Ballymena chased down 148 runs. As per the Twitter account of Northern Cricket Union, Glass ended up on unbeaten 87 runs in the match.
