New Zealand bowler Trent Boult is likely to miss the two-Test series against England starting 2nd June.
After the postponement of IPL 2021, Trent Boult went back to New Zealand to spend some time with his family and will arrive in the UK on Friday.
It was earlier reported that the pacer will miss the first Test against England at Lords but now it is expected that Trent Boult will miss the second Test at Edgbaston as well with team management wanting to keep him fresh for the final of the ICC World Test Championship.

New Zealand coach Gary Stead confirmed the same to reporters and said that they are making Trent Boult ready for the ICC World Test Championship final and is unlikely that the left-arm pacer will feature in the two-Test series against England.
"I don't think you'll see Trent in the two-Test matches here. He arrives on Friday, our planning and what we're looking at doing with Trent is having him ready for the World Test Championship final,”
Gary Stead further said that Trent Boult underwent some training back at home and they will keep him fresh for the WTC final.
“He's been home, he has had a week of bowling over there which has been great after the fair amount of isolation time at the end of the IPL. But our view with Trent right now is it’s unlikely that he will play the test in Edgbaston, and he's more likely to be just available for the one-off test,” he said.
After the two-match Test series against England, Kane Williamson-led side will lock horns against Team India in the final of the ICC WTC at Rose Bowl, Southampton between 18th to 22nd June.
