Kolkata Knight Riders and India batsman Shubman Gill said that he will prefer playing in the World Test Championship Final rather than the T20 World Cup Final.
Shubman Gill made his India Test debut against Australia down under recently and did extremely well scoring two half-centuries, including 91 in the Brisbane Test victory which helped India pocket the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the four-match Test series.
Gill had a lull series against England at home, but he is ready to play the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand in Southampton. Gill has been named in the Indian squad for the England tour.
Speaking in an interview with ESPNCricinfo, Gill said, "Playing in World Test Championship's final is a bigger dream than playing the T20 World Cup final because WTC is happening for the first time."
Gill is one of the many players to have made their debuts under Virat Kohli, and while the 21-year-old batsman may be considered one of the most promising newcomers on the block, and has time to establish himself as one of the top batsmen in the team.
In the past, Gill had said there are so many things he can learn from his captain, but never picked the one thing he can teach Kohli, but now he has claimed that he can teach the Indian captain something.
During the special series '25 Questions' on ESPNCricinfo, Gill was asked what if there's one thing he would like to teach Kohli.
"One thing… FIFA (the game). I know he's going to be really pissed but he always loses to me in FIFA,” Gill replied.
Gill also said that a match he would feature in if he had a time machine would be the final of the 2011 World Cup between India and Sri Lanka in Mumbai.
