Pakistan pacers Hassan Ali, Shaheen Afridi and left-arm spinner Nauman Ali on Wednesday (May 12) attained career-best positions in the ICC Test bowling rankings after becoming the first trio from their country to claim five-wicket hauls in the same match.
Veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is the only Indian to feature in the top 10, occupying the second spot in the ICC Test rankings for bowlers. Speedster Jasprit Bumrah has also held on to his 11th position.
Hassan (5-27 in the first innings), Shaheen (5-52 in the second innings) and Nauman (5-86 in the second innings) played vital roles as Pakistan thrashed Zimbabwe by an innings and 147 runs in the second Test to complete a 2-0 series win.
Hassan has jumped six places to the 14th position, Shaheen is up to nine places to 22nd while Nauman has gone from 54th to the 46th position after registering only the sixth instance of three bowlers from one side grabbing 5-fer in the same Test.
