Australia spinner Nathan Lyon is playing his 100th Test match and needs only three more wickets to complete 400 wickets, after dismissing Rohit Sharma (44) on the second day of the fourth Test in Brisbane.

Rohit tried to attack Lyon but got trapped after the spinner changed his bowling line. The India opener couldn't connect the ball well enough to clear the long-on.

“Rohit is a world-class player and tried to bowl him my best ball," Lyon said during the rain break on day two. The Aussie spinner dismissed Rohit for the sixth time in Test cricket.

Lyon was thrashed by India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant in the third Test. Pant had hit him for three fours and sixes in the second innings of the previous match on a day-five wicket.

The experienced spinner is eager to bowl to Pant and make use of the crack outside off against the India batsman. “There’s a nice crack outside off-stump so I'm trying to aim at that. Rishabh always tries to smash me so I'm looking forward to bowl to him, it's always a great battle with him,” said Lyon.

“My natural line is Paine's right glove, that's about a foot outside off-stump, and there's a nice crack on that line so hopefully I can get something out of that,” he added.

Lyon talked about the celebration of the milestone; playing the 100th Test, and said he would have celebrated it with family on a dine outside if not for bio-bubble restrictions.

“It would've been nice to go out for dinner with everyone, including my parents but there are bubble restrictions,” he added.

The second day's play ended early because of rain interruption. India scored 62/2 at the stumps after bowling out Australia on 369 in the first innings.
