Afghanistan's Afsar Zazai suffers injuries to head in a dangerous car accident

Zazai played in the last year's World Cup for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batsman Afsar Zazai on Saturday (June 20) met with a horrific car accident where he suffered a minor injury to his head. Luckily, he escaped any serious injuries.

The news of Zazai’s dangerous accident was broken by former media manager of Afghanistan cricket board and a local journalist M Ibrahim Momand on Twitter.

The journalist has shared a couple of photos from the gruesome car incident while revealing that Afsar did not suffer any serious injuries, but his car was totally damaged.

The Twitter pictures clearly showed that the car suffered massive dents, but luckily, Zazai luckily escaped any serious injuries, only suffered a head injury but nothing happened to his face or any other parts of the body, as shown in the pictures shared by the journalist.

He tweeted: “National cricketer wicket-keeper batsman @AfsarZazai_78 survived in a car accident with a minor injury in his head but his car damaged most. May Allah bless you get well soon bro.”

Noteworthy, Zazai has played a solitary Test and T20I match while 17 ODIs for Afghanistan so far since making his international debut in a T20I against Kenya in 2013. He was part of Afghanistan's historic maiden Test against India while last played international against England last year.
