'3TCricket' competition, originally scheduled to take place on June 27 for the Solidarity Cup, was indefinitely postponed by Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Saturday (June 20), just a few days after its launch.
Following discussions with various stakeholders, the board felt more work needed to be done to stage the three-team tournament in the current circumstances, with the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to firm its grip, and decided to postpone it.

"The operational teams behind the Solidarity match and event partners in collaboration with Cricket South Africa, 3TCricket and SuperSport met to consider the readiness to host the event on 27th June," CSA tweeted.
"Following this meeting, it has become clear that more work is needed in preparation including approval. A new date will be announced in due course."
Only earlier this week, CSA had announced the plans to conduct a three-team eight members per side contest that would've seen all sides taking part in a 36-overs per innings match, with each batting 12 overs in two different halves.
The three teams - Eagles, Kingfishers and the Kites - featuring 24 top Proteas cricketers, were due to be captained by AB de Villiers, Kagiso Rabada and Quinton de Kock, respectively.
