Harbhajan Singh lashes out at China, says “Coronavirus is their plan to become an economic power”

Harbhajan called China power hungry.

China has returned to normalcy after extended lockdown brought down the COVID 19 numbersAs the whole world reels with almost 6 million cases of Coronavirus and more than 350,000 deaths worldwide, China has become a pariah for the whole globe given its questionable tactics since the virus spread from its Wuhan province in December 2019.

Since then, it has brought the whole world to a screeching halt with the largest democracy in the world, India under an extensive lockdown since March 24 and other countries also being affected with loss of business and jobs by millions.

"High time we must boycott China's faulty COVID-19 test kits", says Harbhajan Singh

On the other hand, China has been selling PPE kits, masks, ventilators, etc to other countries affected with the virus and helping out the less fortunate ones. But still, their lack of quality control in products has meant that the Asian giant has been criticized en masse for their actions.

Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh has chosen to direct his anger at neighbors China. In his latest tweet, the off-spinner has blamed "the Chinese people" for putting the "world at risk" by spreading coronavirus while raising questions regarding their economy.

Harbhajan retweeted a Reuters story titled "China reports no new coronavirus cases for May 28" and called them power-hungry. "This is what the plan was.. spread this corona virus in the whole world.. while everyone suffer with this they sit happy and watching..making PPE kits, mask etc for the whole world and making their economy powerful ???? #powerhungry," Harbhajan tweeted.

According to the story tweeted by Harbhajan Singh, "China reported no new confirmed coronavirus cases in the mainland as of the end of May 28, down from two a day earlier, the country's health authority said on Friday. The National Health Commission also confirmed five new asymptomatic coronavirus cases on May 28, down from 23 a day earlier."

India has just overtaken China in terms of lives lost with 4797 causalities when compared to China’s 4634.
