While India’s COVID-19 cases continue to surge despite the nationwide lockdown, the Asian country has been given a setback by China in this critical time, as the country received around five lakh faulty rapid antibody test kits from the two Chinese firms, Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech and Livzon Diagnostics.

the faulty kits have led to a pause in the antibody testing, resulting in the testing rates fallen, and Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh suggested that India should boycott Chinese kits if they are sending faulty kits purposefully on social media.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the off-spinner has expressed his views on the same while saying the country is enough capable to make their own COVID-19 kits.

However, the Indian Council of Medical Research has suspended the use of rapid testing kits imported from China after complaints of inaccurate results from various states in the country.

Before India, many countries have the same complaint, though the government insisted that not a single rupee will be lost in canceling the orders since they haven’t made the payments to the Chinese suppliers.
