When and if MS Dhoni will return to the Indian team has become the national question ever since he started preparing for the IPL 2020 in full flow before everything came to a halt due to Coronavirus pandemic.
The former India captain had featured in the Blue jersey last during the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup and since then has excused himself from all international matches. However, with an eye on the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia, he was looking forward to proving himself in the IPL.
MS Dhoni honored as the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) captain in IPL history
But given the circumstances at the moment, every fan is worried about the future of perhaps the greatest Indian captain. Even his former teammates are getting fed up of their fans asking them about Dhoni and Rohit Sharma is one of them.
He appeared on an Instagram Live session along with Harbhajan Singh and fans asked him about Dhoni, which led to the India’s white-ball vice-captain saying,” When MS Dhoni is not playing cricket, he goes out of radar. He goes underground. Whoever wants to know, you can directly go to him, you know he stays in Ranchi. You can't go now but after the lockdown, you take a car, bike or flight go to his place and ask him 'What are you going to do? Will you play or not?’”
"We don't know what's happening with him. We haven't heard any news about him. The last match of the World Cup was in July. From there, till now we haven't heard anything I have no idea,” he further said.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh mentioned that he felt that Dhoni doesn’t want to play for India anymore, despite his willingness to continue playing IPL for a couple of years more. "He wants to play IPL 100 percent. But one needs to know his take on whether he wants to play for India anymore or not. I think he doesn't want to play for India again. He has played so much for India,” Harbhajan said.
"As far as I know him, he doesn't want to wear the blue jersey again. He decided that India's last match in the World Cup was his last. A few people have also told me that this is the case," Harbhajan said.
