Former Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf played against the number of Indian greats during his playing days including the likes of batting legends Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman.
He believes that these legends have their own class and standard that’s something he doesn’t found in the current crop of the Indian cricket team and even in world-class batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Yousuf further claimed that the current Indian team “does not have such batsmen” that India had in the past including Yuvraj Singh, while insisting that the current players such as captain Kohli and Rohit cannot be compared to the likes of Dravid and Tendulkar.
As per reports in Cricket Pakistan, Yousuf stated during a TV show: “In the past, teams, such as India, Australia, and South Africa, had three-four quality players in the side. India, for example, had players like (Rahul) Dravid, Sachin (Tendulkar), (Virender) Sehwag, (Sourav) Ganguly, (VVS) Laxman and Yuvraj Singh. These six batsmen were playing in a single team.”

He further added, “The current Indian team does not have such batsmen. You can't compare the current players (such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma) with the class of Sachin and Dravid.”
Noteworthy, Kohli is currently rated as the best batsman in the world and is the second-highest run-scorer for India of all time with 11,867 runs in 248 matches at an average of 59.33 in the ODI cricket and even is ahead of the likes of Dravid, Ganguly, and Yuvraj despite having played far lesser ODIs than them.
At the moment, the right-hander is only behind Tendulkar who scored 18426 runs in 463 ODIs, while Rohit Sharma has scored 9115 runs at an average of 49.27 in the ODI cricket. In Tests, Kohli is the sixth highest run-scorer of all time with 7240 runs at an average of 53.62 in 86 matches so far in whites.
