Former Netherlands captain Peter Borren has come up with a dig at ICC for their blunder in the Cricket World Cup 2019 final. England had won the final by defeating New Zealand on the basis of boundary counts.

The match was tied which led to a tie-breaker, after the super over was also tied the match officials declared England winner because of more boundaries.

This wasn't the only mistake, in the final over of England's chase, when Ben Stokes had put on a dive for the second run the throw from Martin Guptill had hit his bat and deflected towards boundary; making two runs into six.

The equation before the incident was 9 runs needed off three deliveries which came down to just three runs required in the last two balls.

Quoting Twitter Sports' tweet which asked the Twitterati to propose a rule change in their favorite sport, Peter wrote, "A. When a batter is diving to reach his/her crease scrambling a second run and the ball hits his/her bat the ball is then deemed dead.B. If the super over of a world cup final is tied, teams to play another super over".
