West Indies team won the ODI series 3-0, while lost the T20I series 2-1 to Afghanistan.

Jason Holder, West Indies Test captain won the toss and chose to bowl first on a pitch that looked dry and conducive to spin. His decision was proved correct as Afghanistan batsmen collapsed in front of the spin of West Indian behemoth Rahkeem Cornwall’s off-spin.

Cornwall, who had made his Test debut against India earlier this year, picked 7/75 as Afghani batsmen struggled to adjust to the bounce and spin, he got from the surface. Javed Ahmadi (39), Amir Hamza (34), Afsar Zazai (32) and Ihsanullah (24) were the main scorer for the Afghanistan team, as they made just 187 runs.

Apart from Cornwall, Holder (2/22) and Warrican (1/35) were the other wicket-takers for West Indies.

West Indies in reply, made 68/2 in 22 overs with John Campbell (30*) and Shamarh Brooks (19*) remaining unbeaten at the end of the day. Amir Hamza picked the wicket of Kraigg Braithwaite for 11, while Rashid Khan removed Hope for 7 runs.
