Mumbai Indians (MI) legend Rohit Sharma celebrated his 38th birthday on April 30, 2025, in Jaipur ahead of his side’s IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on May 1.
During the net practice, that featured players from both the sides, RR captain Sanju Samson approached Rohit Sharma inquiring about his birthday. Rohit, true to his easygoing demeanor, originally brushed it off with a grin before acknowledging that it was indeed his 38th birthday.
On the eve of the IPL encounter, camaraderie trumped rivalry, resulting in a warm round of hugs not only with Samson but also with several RR players.
Adding to the video's nostalgic tone, Rohit was shown reconciling with Rahul Dravid, the former India head coach who now works for the Royals. The two had a brief but poignant talk, the video of which went viral.
