Mumbai Indians’ (MI) ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah wreaked havoc on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batting line-up in Match 45 of the IPL 2025 season at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 27).
Bumrah returned with the figures of 4-0-22-4 after MI racked up a mammoth 215/7 on the board. While the right-arm quick got the prized scalps of Aiden Markram and David Miller, it was the dismissals of Abdul Samad and Avesh Khan that caught everyone’s attention.
During the 16th over of LSG’s innings, Bumrah cleaned up Samad and Avesh with consecutive deliveries, rattling the stumps with stunning yorkers.
Bumrah’s brilliance in that over reduced LSG to 142/8. The likes of Trent Boult (3-20 in 4 overs), Will Jacks (2-18 in 2 overs) and Corbin Bosch (1-26 in 4 overs) also bowled brilliantly as MI bowled out the visitors for 161 in 20 overs, winning the game by a big margin of 54 runs.
With this victory, the five-time champions climbed to second spot in the team standings with 12 points under their belt from 10 matches.
