IPL 2024: WATCH- "Senti kyu hu raha hai?”- Virat Kohli seemingly tells a PBKS player

Kohli played a match-winning knock of 77 for RCB.

Virat Kohli | XVirat Kohli bounced back from his failure against CSK in IPL 2024 and played a match-winning knock against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday, March 25. RCB defeated PBKS by 4 wickets to register their first win in the ongoing tournament.

Set a 177-run target to chase, RCB didn’t start well as they lost Faf du Plessis, Anuj Rawat, and Glenn Maxwell for 3 runs each. However, Virat Kohli held one end up and scored a brilliant 77 in 49 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes.

But then Dinesh Karthik (28* in 10 balls) and Mahipal Lomror (17* in 8 balls) took RCB home with 4 wickets in hand and 4 balls remaining.

During his knock, Virat Kohli was also involved in some banter with the opposition players. In a viral video on the microblogging website 'X', Kohli took a single to deep cover off the first ball of the seventh over bowled by spinner Harpreet Brar.

As he reached the bowling end, Kohli could be seen having a healthy banter with what the video suggests is Punjab skipper Shikhar Dhawan.

Looking at Dhawan standing in the covers, Kohli could be heard saying: "Senti kyu hu raha hai, kya ho gaya? (why are you getting sentimental, what happened?)"

It was unclear whether Kohli's response was due to something Dhawan did or said, but it might be attributed to the fact that Kohli was dropped on the second delivery of RCB's run chase and then battered Punjab bowlers en route to his 77, which won the match for the home team in Bengaluru.
