Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has received support from his wife Rivaba after he made a cryptic post a day after CSK defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) in Delhi to qualify for the IPL 2023 playoffs.
Jadeja made 20* in 7 balls as CSK posted 223/3 in 20 overs with Devon Conway (87) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (79) adding 141 for an opening wicket partnership.
Then the all-rounder picked one wicket as DC only managed 146/9 with David Warner making 86, but lost by 77 runs.
Jadeja has been in very good form picking 17 wickets and scoring 153 runs in 14 matches for CSK in the league stage. It was a contrast to his IPL 2022 performance.
However, after the match, CSK captain MS Dhoni was having an animated chat with Jadeja, who was frustrated with something. Dhoni was seen explaining something to him, while Jadeja kept saying something in between.
Jadeja posted a photo that read: "Karma will get back at you, sooner or later it surely will." The all-rounder shared it with the caption: “Definitely” followed by a thumbs-up emoticon.
While fans speculated whether it was a jibe at the CSK fans who were cheering after he had gotten out in previous matches as MS Dhoni came out to bat, or their shouts in Delhi to give Dhoni the strike. Some even saw it as a direct shot at MS Dhoni himself.
Meanwhile, his wife Rivaba Jadeja tweeted in support with the message: “Follow your own Path”
It remains to be seen what was the context behind Ravindra Jadeja’s tweet.
