Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson revealed a moment when Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni got emotional when the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad got together after a two-year ban in IPL 2018.
Dhoni has a special relationship with CSK, and they have remained loyal and committed to each other over the years.
The former Indian skipper has been representing the CSK since the very first season of the IPL, but in 2016 and 2017, the franchise was banned from the league and it was certainly tough for MSD to play for another side (Pune Super Giants) in the tournament.
Well, Watson, who won the IPL trophy with CSK in 2018 when the franchise returned to the tournament, revealed that Dhoni got emotional while talking to the team after the team got together. The Australian also said that his time with the CSK was special.

Shane Watson was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times: “There was one moment when MS Dhoni got up and spoke at the first team function that we had. You could see how much it meant to him, he got emotional around how much it meant for him to CSK to get back together.”
Watson continued, “Then the first game against Mumbai Indians, Dwayne Bravo pulled the rabbit out of the hat, and got us home out of nowhere. The belief of immediate. We got the team, we got the players, and we had good performances.”
He signed off by saying, “The environment Dhoni and Stephen Fleming created, you just went out and had fun. We never talked about results, (we were) just there to enjoy ourselves. We had a great bunch of players, with families there as well. For me, it was a special time.”
