Manish Pandey | GettyThe IPL 2023 auction got underway in Kochi with 405 players undergoing the hammer for a chance to be part of the world’s richest and most popular T20 league.

Out of the shortlisted players, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players of which 4 players are from associate nations. The total number of capped players is 119, uncapped players are 282, and 4 are from associate nations.

The last three sets before the 45-minute break featured batters, fast bowlers, and all-rounders

One of the big buys from these sets was Manish Pandey, who got a home at Delhi Capitals, who signed him for INR 2.40 crs.

England all-rounder Will Jacks also saw a decent payday as Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for INR 3.20 crs.

New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson was also featured in the auction and CSK successfully bid on him, paying INR 1 cr for him.

LSG made two buys as well, bringing in Romario Shepherd for INR 50 lakhs and Daniel Sams for INR 75 lakhs.
