Former team India opener Aakash Chopra has opened up on Virat Kohli's dreadful run with the bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) and said that he is experiencing a nightmare that is happening in front of millions of viewers.

Kohli, who was elevated to the opener against RR, only scored 9 runs before being dismissed off the bowling of Prasidh Krishna. Kohli recorded two golden ducks in his previous two games, against LSG and SRH, respectively.

Notably, Virat Kohli, the all-time leading run-scorer in the IPL, has struggled with the bat for Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. This season is shaping up to be the RCB star's worst since his debut in 2008. Virat Kohli has only scored 128 runs at an average of 16.50 in nine IPL 2022 games so far.

"Virat Kohli is living a nightmare, for some the nightmare gets over, the bad times get over. This nightmare is unfolding in front of millions of people. It is tough being Virat Kohli right now. It is tough being Virat Kohli. PERIOD. The kind of attention that he gets," Aakash Chopra said on Star Sports.

"Today, I felt that his bat was made of edges. There was no fiddle. He got a couple of boundaries. He is trying everything. He is going hard at the ball. He is taking his time. But it's just not working out. Two first-ball ducks. He has been dismissed six times in the first 10 balls," Chopra added.
