Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul hit his second century in the ongoing IPL 2022, interestingly it also came against Mumbai Indians (MI) as the two teams clashed for the second time this season. The venue however was Wankhede Stadium and the match was played on April 24, 2022.
Mumbai Indians' captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first in search of their first win this season. MI went in unchanged, but LSG included Mohsin Khan for Avesh Khan, who was out due to a niggle.

The whole LSG innings was about KL Rahul and how he held one end together as wickets fell on the other end. The next best scorer after him was Manish Pandey with 22 in 22 balls. Meanwhile, Rahul smacked 103 in 62 balls with 12 fours and 4 sixes to his name. He reached his 4th IPL ton with a six, and it was his second against the same opponent in the same IPL season.
In the end, MI managed to restrict LSG to 168/6 in 20 overs. Kieron Pollard with 2/8 and Riley Meredith with 2/40 were the main wicket-takers for MI.
The cricket fraternity was all praises for KL Rahul, as he now has identical scores of 103* against MI this season, and shared their reactions on Twitter.
