LSG had defeated MI before in IPL 2022 with KL Rahul scoring a century.

LSG had defeated MI before in IPL 2022 with KL Rahul scoring century | BCCI-IPLTwo teams with varying degrees of success in this IPL 2022 will clash together on April 24, 2022, as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faceoff against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

This will be the second meeting of these two teams as they had met prior in Brabourne stadium in the 26th match.

LSG is ranked fifth in the IPL 2022 points table, while MI is yet to win a game out of seven they have played, the most consecutive streak of losses for any team at the start of the tournament in IPL history.

IPL 2022: Cricket fraternity supports Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma amid their poor run of form in IPL 15

LSG has played some exciting cricket led by their captain KL Rahul, while Rohit Sharma’s MI is seeking a break in the terrible fortunes they have seen thus far.

Keeping this in mind, here is the Team COC Predicted Playing XIs for the LSG v MI match.

LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS

Lucknow Super Giants are coming off a loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their last match and mostly the reason for that was they ran into a hot RCB team at that moment. But they have faced MI before in the tournament and defeated them soundly with KL Rahul scoring a sublime century in his 100th IPL match.

The middle-order has been the strongest point of LSG with Ayush Badoni, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya doing the heavy-hitting. It remains to be seen who plays at no.3 Manish Pandey or K Gowtham.

LSG | IPL-BCCIMarcus Stoinis has grown into his role as a finisher with Jason Holders for company, who has bowled amazingly well with the new ball.  Dushmantha Chameera might be a bit expensive, but he has given them wickets upfront, something all the franchises have not managed to do.

LSG bowling has been led well by Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi and they will be expected to do the damage upfront and in middle overs and have a much better impact.

MUMBAI INDIANS

MI is having its worst start ever to an IPL season creating the unwanted record of losing their first seven matches. Nothing is going well for them except the batting of Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan are badly out of form, though Kishan started with scores of 81 and 54.

Dewald Brevis has shown hints of great talent but is yet to convert it into a big score. Even Kieron Pollard has not been able to turn the fortunes of MI over and maybe MI might turn to Tim David for help.

MI | BCCI-IPLDaniel Sams came good in the last match with his four wickets, while Jaydev Unadkat’s good work was wasted by that one over in which MS Dhoni demolished him.

They can bring in Basil Thampi to give Unadkat some time to recuperate from that while Riley Meredith and Jasprit Bumrah look to do damage control.

However, it will be a tough task for them as they are against a very good team who is in great form.

LSG COC Predicted Playing XI:

KL Rahul (C), Quinton de Kock (WK), Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi
