Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma | BCCI/IPLVeteran India batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are having a terrible time in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).

In IPL 2022 so far, Kohli has played eight innings and managed to amass only 119 runs at an average of 17 with the highest score of 48. His last two outings have been rather disappointing as the former RCB skipper has registered successive golden ducks.

On the other hand, MI captain Rohit has featured in 7 games, aggregating 114 runs at 16.29 with the best score of 41. Rohit’s poor showing with the bat reflects on his team’s standing as Mumbai Indians (MI) are currently occupying the last spot on the IPL 2022 points table, having lost their first seven matches.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's form is a cause of concern for the Indian fans with the T20 World Cup slated to be held in Australia later this year.

Meanwhile, the cricket pundits feel it is just a rough patch for Kohli and Rohit and the duo will return to form soon. Some experts also suggested them to take a break as bubble life can be challenging sometimes amid the COVID pandemic.
