The 2022 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) will be a 10-team affair with the addition of two new franchises in Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
While the Titans had unveiled their jersey a week ago, Lucknow revealed their kit on Tuesday (March 22).
Taking to Instagram, LSG shared a video, highlighting different parts of their jersey with the caption: “The moment you’ve been waiting for! Poori taiyaari hai… Ab Apni Baari Hai!!!”
Lucknow Super Giants’ first-ever jersey is cyan-coloured with a greenish shade.
The Lucknow franchise was bought by RP Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG) in October last year for approximately ₹7000 crore (over 932 million USD).
LSG had signed the trio of KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. The franchise, which has appointed Rahul as captain, also roped in prominent names such as Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey, Jason Holder, Avesh Khan, Evin Lewis, among others at the auction last month.
Lucknow Super Giants will open their IPL 2022 campaign against Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 28.
