Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw have given them good starts, while Shreyas Iyer has returned in good form, Pant himself, along with Hetmyer has provided the finishing touches nicely. R Ashwin and Akshar Patel have kept things tight in the middle overs and even picked wickets.

However, the star for the DC team has been their pace bowling attack especially Anrich Nortje in the second half of the tournament. He has used his speed to good effect on slow UAE pitches. Kagiso Rabada and Avesh Khan have done the same thing and reaped rich rewards.
