Rohit Sharma picked IPL 2017 title win as his favourite | Mumbai Indians/TwitterFondly known as ‘Hitman’ for his remarkable ball-striking, Rohit Sharma is widely regarded as one of the most skilled batsmen in contemporary cricket. He has the ability to tear apart any bowling attack on his day.

Rohit, who made his international debut in 2007, has quite a few world records to his name. He is the proud owner of the highest individual ODI score — 264 (against Sri Lanka in 2014). Moreover, he is the only batsman in the history of cricket to have scored three ODI double tons and four Twenty20 international centuries.

While his exploits are awe-inspiring, Rohit recently surprised everyone with his memory.

Indian women’s cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues quizzed him on his performance stats and the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper got almost all correct answers.

During the chat posted on Dream 11’s Youtube Channel, Rohit recalled the newspaper headlines a day after slamming 264 against Sri Lanka.

“I remember because the next day there was a headline saying Rohit Sharma beat Sri Lanka,” he said.

When asked who has hit more boundaries in IPL between him and Chris Gayle, Rohit quickly said that the West Indian might have hit more sixes but he was still the man with more boundaries than him.

“No, I have more fours in IPL than Chris. He has got more sixes for sure in the IPL,” he said while answering the question.

Rohit Sharma has so far captained Mumbai Indians to five IPL title wins – 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

When asked to pick his favourite win, he instantly chose the 2017 edition where MI defeated MS Dhoni-led Rising Pune Supergiants.

“I would pick 2017 as we only made 129 and to defend that score on any pitch in any conditions against any opposition in a final is a big achievement,” Rohit said.

During the conversation, Jemimah also asked him to choose between his childhood ground and his home ground while Rohit shared his love for the Bollywood movie ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’.
