MI are five-time and current defending IPL champions | BCCI/IPLMumbai Indians (MI), the current, defending champions and five-time IPL title holders, will be looking to have a great season in the upcoming IPL 2021 edition. They have the golden chance of making a hat-trick of IPL title wins this season.

The Rohit Sharma-led team had to make a few changes in their unit due to the retirement of Lasith Malinga and the fact MI needed a few fresh legs in the team as well.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has predicted how the champions MI team will fare in this IPL 2021 and said that he expects them to complete the hat trick of IPL title wins by winning the IPL 14 tournament.

Vaughan also added that if by chance the Mumbai Indians suffer ‘some bizarre loss of form’, then he expects the David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad to win the title.

Early #IPL2021 prediction ... @mipaltan will win it ... if by some bizarre loss of form then @SunRisers will win it ... #OnOn #India,” Vaughan tweeted on Wednesday.

The MI team will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2021 opener on April 9 in Chennai to begin their title defense.
