IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians (MI) players and staff test negative after More's positive COVID-19 diagnosis

All the players and support staff had to get tested as More was with them in the same hotel.

Mumbai Indians (MI) scout and wicket-keeping consultant Kiran More recently tested positive for coronavirus, as he was with the team in the same hotel in Chennai, all the players and support staff had to undergo COVID-19 tests.

The defending champions who were training in Chennai had to cancel their training session on Tuesday for getting tested. After the results of those tests, it has come as a huge relief that all the players and support staff tested negative.

Mumbai Indians and Kiran More have followed all the BCCI health guidelines. The MI medical team will continue to monitor More's health and abide by the BCCI protocols,” the official Twitter account of Mumbai Indians tweeted.

The five-time champions Mumbai Indians will be starting their title defense against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 9 April in Chennai.
