The 30th match of the IPL 2020 will see Delhi Capitals (DC) taking on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Dubai on October 14, 2020, in Dubai. Delhi Capitals had defeated Rajasthan Royals in their previous meeting in the tournament and it will be a chance for the Royals to get even with them.
DC is ranked no.2 on the points table and RR is 6th, but this game becomes important for both sides as victory to either of them will help them move up in the points table rankings. For doing so, both teams have to pick their players, and hence TEAM COC presents to you the Predicted Playing XIs for the DC v RR match.
DELHI CAPITALS (DC)
The Delhi Capitals suffered a loss in their last match against Mumbai Indians (MI) thanks to the batsmen not doing enough while batting first. Shikhar Dhawan scored an unbeaten 69 and batted through the innings, but never seemed to accelerate into the fifth gear.
Rahane and Stoinis failed to get going, while Carey looked good on his IPL debut. DC will still miss the services of Rishabh Pant and have lost Ishant Sharma as well to a rib injury and he has been ruled out of the whole tournament. Though the bowlers have done their job, the batsmen need to take initiative and put up a good score for them to defend.
Shaw has looked good in his cameos, but needs to apply himself and play long innings, rather than playing a few nice looking shots and then getting out. The onus will be on Iyer, Stoinis, and Carey to up the ante with Rahane and Dhawan struggling to get into fifth gear.
On the bowling front, Ashwin and Akshar have complimented each other well in the spin department, while Rabada and Nortje have formed a fearsome opening combination with both competing to best each other on the speed gun.
DC needs to do bring their A-game to beat a motivated Rajasthan Royals, who beat Sunrisers in the last few overs possible.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS (RR)
Rajasthan Royals got out of jail in their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad thanks to Riyan Parag and once again to Rahul Tewatia, who is proving to be one of the best players in this tournament.
Their experiment to open with Ben Stokes failed and RR needs to go back to Smith and Buttler opening or make Uthappa open the innings, with Smith at 3, Samson at 4, and Stokes at 5. They have a capable lower middle order, who can stretch a good total into a more defendable one.
Bowling-wise, Shreyas Gopal has been unimpressive so far, as he has 4 wickets in 7 matches at an economy of 9.00. While he has stemmed the flow of runs, he needs to pick wickets regularly given that he is the main spinner of the team.

Tewatia has outdone him with 5 scalps, while Unadkat has flown under the radar, as RR preferred his slow balls to the speed of Varun Aaron.
RR needs a series of wins in order to make it to the top four of the points table and it may very well start against DC.
