Social media couldn't keep calm after Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) was robbed of a run over after the on-field umpire Nitin Menon called a run short at a very crucial juncture against Delhi Capitals (DC). It turned out to be a game-changing call as KXIP were forced to play a Super Over after failing to score one run off the last two deliveries while chasing 158 to win
The KL Rahul-led side lost the match in Super Over after scoring just 2 runs. Former cricketers and KXIP co-owner Preity Zinta slammed the umpires, but Mohammad Kaif, who is part of Delhi Capitals support staff, said such mistakes happen and one can't do anything about the on-field errors from officials.

Kaif used a famous dialogue of Shah Rukh Khan from the movie ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ and wrote, “IPL is a battle of fine margins. Short-run, missed no ball … Bade bade tournaments mein chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain. Credit to Rabada and Stoinis who snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! #DCvKXIP.”
It was the 19th over of the KXIP run-chase when Mayank Agarwal and Chris Jordan ran two after the former hit a yorker from Kagiso Rabada down to long-on.
Square leg umpire Nitin Menon signaled one run short and deducted one run off their score. The game ended with 157/8 by both sides and that's when the fans pointed out it was a wrong call from the umpire.
