IPL 2020: WATCH – Rohit Sharma executes range of strokes in the nets ahead of upcoming IPL

Rohit Sharma (Source: Twitter/@mipaltan)The way he has been timing the ball in the nets after landing in UAE, it doesn’t seem that the Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was away from the game for the past 6 months.

On Monday (August 31), the official handle of MI shared a video on Twitter, in which Rohit can be seen executing a range of strokes effortlessly.

In the clip, Sharma played some cover drives, square cuts, flicks, pull among other shots in the nets as the team embarked on training after completing their quarantine period.

"Pure class. Sheer elegance!" Mumbai Indians captioned the video.

Notably, the defending champions have made Abu Dhabi their base and the players are training at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.

The 13th edition of Indian Premier League will be played in the Middle East from September 19 to November 10.

The sixty-game event, for which a detailed itinerary is yet awaited, will be played across venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
