The IPL 2020 might be the year when Delhi Capitals come to their very best after finishing 3rd in the previous edition of the tournament in 2019. Capitals, formerly known as Daredevils, made it into the playoffs in 2008, 2009 and 2012, but since then, they couldn’t do much.
The new owners Jindals have transformed the franchise with new jest and this has led to Shreyas Iyer becoming captain and then leading the team to new heights. Keeping this in mind, Team COC presents the Predicted Best possible XI for the franchise.
In the previous seasons, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw have done amazingly well for them at the top. Both the openers have their own strengths and use it for the betterment of the team. Shaw tees off from the get-go, while Dhawan anchors one end.

In the middle order, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer are expected to provide the much-needed firepower. While Iyer being the perfect mix of calm mind with an aggressive streak of batting; he has also proven himself to be an amazing captain as well. He led from the front and is expected to do the same this season as well.
Meanwhile, Pant and Hetmyer are out and out hitters and their roles might be defined as the same and given the license to go and hit it out of the park as soon as possible. Joining them will be the highest run-getter in a single season of Big Bash League, Marcus Stoinis, who is having a purple patch in T20 cricket. Though his bowling has reduced a bit, his batting remains top-notch.

As for the spinners, R Ashwin, who was bought from King XI Punjab and Akshar Patel will be at fore in the Feroz Shah Kotla ground. The slow pitch there will help both spinners out of which, Akshar is also a very handy bat down the order. In the T20 format, these abilities are much appreciated.
Chris Woakes, Kagiso Rabada, and Ishant Sharma will be expected to helm the fast bowling duties as for the Capitals. Rabada and Ishant are out and out pacers and their job will be to take wickets upfront with the new ball. Sandeep Lamichhane is also a viable option as a wicket-taker for Iyer on Delhi pitch and he has done well in previous seasons as well.
This season, the Delhi Capitals will be hoping to reach the finals, given the number of talents they have at their disposal in the squad, and with them reaching the playoffs the previous season, this time they might want to go all the way and lift the trophy.
