LENDL SIMMONS
M: 29| Runs: 1079| HS: 100*| SR: 126.64| 100s: 1| 50s: 11| 4s: 109| 6s: 44
Lendl Simmons played from 2014-17 for Mumbai Indians and won the title twice in 2015 and 2017. He scored 1079 runs in 29 matches with one century and 11 fifties to his name. His aggressive batting at the start was a perfect foil for other a bit subdued partners and he made full use of the powerplay overs during his time at the MI camp.
ROHIT SHARMA (C)
M: 143| Runs: 3728| HS: 109*| SR: 130.62| 100s: 1| 50s: 28| 4s: 335| 6s: 143
Rohit Sharma was bought by the MI franchise in 2011, after the dissolution of the Deccan Chargers and it was perhaps the greatest buys they had made for a long time. Rohit was surprisingly handed the captaincy as well in 2013 after Ponting failed to ignite a spark in the franchise.
He led them to the title in that season and has done three times more. As a batsman, he has been very good, scoring 3728 runs in 143 matches with one century and 28 half-centuries to his name. He has hit 143 sixes as well for the blue franchise.
