India captain Rohit Sharma first got angry at Kuldeep Yadav after he continuously tried to take the DRS after the ball went past Zak Crawley’s bat. This incident happened on day 3 of the ongoing 2nd Test as England are set 399 runs to win the match and go 2-0 up in the series.
The incident took place as early as the third over of England's second innings when India were in two minds whether to go for a review against Zak Crawley. The bowler in question was Jasprit Bumrah, whose whisker beat the outside edge of the England batter.
Discussions happened between skipper Rohit Sharma, keeper KS Bharat and Kuldeep Yadav. While Bharat didn’t feel there was an edge, Kuldeep seemingly tried to convince Rohit to go for the review. However, the captain was frustrated and almost blasted the spinner.
However, the replays on the big screen showed that there was a big gap between bat and ball. Rohit was seen hand-pointing at Kuldeep, and later even sarcastically clapped at his teammate when the big screen flashed the reality. Kuldeep reacted with a huge smile as well.
