India registered a thumping win in the second Test in Kanpur against Bangladesh. India managed to bring out a result from a Test in which more than two days were abandoned due to rains.
Rohit Sharma and his squad adjusted their strategy and bowled Bangladesh out for 233 in the first innings. Then India attacked the bowling, scoring 285/9d in 34.4 overs, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul getting blistering fifties and Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Shubman Gill providing rapid runs.
Bangladesh, down by 52 runs, was bowled out for 149 in the first session of day five, and India chased off the 95-run mark with seven wickets in hand. They won the series 2-0, making it their 18th consecutive home Test series triumph.
Meanwhile, a fan on social posted a video of an interesting moment, that was probably missed by many.
The footage shows Rohit being bowled in India's first innings after a ball from Mehidy kept low and went through the gate. The Bangladeshi all-rounder was seen twirling his index finger in the air in a circular manner to celebrate Rohit’s wicket.
The video then showed what happened during Bangladesh's second innings, when Jasprit Bumrah caught Mehidy behind with a peach of a delivery. The cameras caught Rohit imitating the same move that sent the Bangladesh player back to the changing room.
