There is hardly a boring moment when Rishabh Pant is seen in action on the field. Whether it is with the bat in hand or keeping wickets, the southpaw always looks to enjoy his time out there in the park.
Pant, currently featuring in his comeback Test match against Bangladesh at Chepauk, created a lighthearted moment on Saturday (September 21).
During the morning session of the third day’s play, Pant noticed a little confusion among the Bangladeshi players regarding the field position and he decided to help them.
"Arre idhar aayega ek...bhai, ek idhar, one fielder here, mid-wicket," Pant was caught saying on the stump microphone.
Interestingly, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and the bowler did exactly the same, placing a fielder at mid-wicket. Rishabh Pant’s hilarious act left the commentators in splits.

This is Pant's first Test match since his horrific car accident in December 2022. The left-hander, who scored 39 in the first innings, notched up a brisk half-century on Day 3 in Chennai.
At the time of writing this article, Pant was batting on 72 off 102 balls. He was involved in an unbroken 127-run partnership with Shubman Gill (85*), extending India’s lead to 421 runs in the second innings.
