Former India batter Aakash Chopra said that the Indian team captain Rohit Sharma performs exceptionally well with the bat when he plays an aggressive brand of cricket. Rohit recently made his comeback to T20I cricket after a 14-month gap in the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan.
However, the right-handed opener’s T20I comeback hasn't gone the way he would have wanted, as he was dismissed for duck in the first two matches against Afghanistan.
Well, Chopra feels that Rohit took an ultra-aggressive approach in the first two T20I matches, leading him to lose his wicket early.

In Mohali, the Indian skipper was run out without opening his account, and then in Indore, Fazalhaq Farooqi clean bowled him for a duck.
Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube Channel: “The way Rohit batted in the first two matches, it seemed like he was adopting an ultra-aggressive mode, that he would try to hit every ball and do that without getting set. He got run out once. There, too, he hit Fazalhaq Farooqi after stepping out and got out off the first ball in Indore.”
He added, “You ask whether he will be seen batting slightly differently in Bengaluru. I feel he will try to bat similarly. Rohit Sharma is at his very best when he is aggressive. He showed that by doing it consistently in the ODI World Cup as well. It made a difference in the end.”
Notably, the third and final T20I between India and Afghanistan is scheduled at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on January 17.
