India pacer Jasprit Bumrah joined team India for the training session in Visakhapatnam ahead of the second ODI against West Indies. The speedster is out of the team and currently recovering from the surgery. However, he is fit enough to get back to start training.

"His back will be tested as he goes full throttle against the world's best batsmen like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. You can't really have a better test than having a go against the best in business," a BCCI source had told IANS news agency. However, Kohli, Rohit, and KL Rahul were not part of the optional training session at the YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium.

The team management wanted to check if Bumrah and Prithvi Shaw have made improvements in their fitness or not.

The 26-year-old bowled for an hour to Rishabh Pant, Manish Pandey and Mayak Agarwal in the nets. The return of Bumrah in the practice session is a good sign as he may get back into the side soon. Batsman Prithvi Shaw was wearing a plain Tee and had a chat with a trainer before he went to take some high catches after asked by fielding coach R Sridhar.
