Former India captain MS Dhoni made his fans ecstatic after BCCI shared a video of him meeting the Indian team ahead of their first T20I against New Zealand which is played at the JSCA Cricket stadium in Dhoni’s hometown Ranchi on January 27, 2023.
Dhoni has been captured on camera multiple times as he is preparing for the upcoming IPL 2023 at the JSCA stadium facilities and was expected to attend the first T20I as well.
Now, MS Dhoni attended the match with his wife Sakshi Dhoni and sat in special seating, and was captured by the cameraman standing for the national anthem then the BCCI shared a video of him waving to the Ranchi crowd which went crazy seeing their local star on the big screen.

On the other hand, India captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl first. India did not pick Yuzvendra Chahal, Jitesh, Mukesh, and Prithvi Shaw for the series opener.
Devon Conway (52), Finn Allen (35), and Daryl Mitchell (59*) were the top scorers for New Zealand as they managed 176/6 in 20 overs.
For India, Washington Sundar picked 2/22, while Kuldeep Yadav, Shivam Mavi and Arshdeep Singh also picked one wicket apiece. Arshdeep went for 27 runs in the last over of the innings conceding three sixes and one four.
