IND v ENG 2021: Cricket fraternity lauds R Ashwin as he becomes 4th Indian bowler to claim 400 Test wickets

Ashwin is fastest to achieve this feat among the Indian bowlers.

Ravichandran Ashwin | BCCIIndia off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who is having a great time in the ongoing Test series against England, achieved a special milestone on Thursday (February 25).

Ashwin became only the fourth Indian bowler after Kapil Dev (434), Anil Kumble (619) and Harbhajan Singh (417) to claim 400 wickets in Test cricket.

Featuring in his 77th Test match, Ashwin is also the fastest to achieve this landmark among Indians while he is the second-fastest ever after Muttiah Muralitharan, who did it in his 72nd Test.

Ashwin accomplished the milestone by dismissing Jofra Archer in England’s second innings in the ongoing Day-Night Test at Ahmedabad.

For his remarkable feat, Ashwin was lauded by the cricket fraternity on Twitter.
