IND v BAN 2019: WATCH- Rohit Sharma’s one-handed beauty sends Mominul Haque back for a duck

Bangladesh are batting first after winning the toss in the pink-ball Test.

Rohit Sharma dived in front of Virat Kohli | ScreengrabIndia and Bangladesh are currently engaged in the historic first-ever day-night Test match taking place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque won the toss and chose to bat first, in what is the first pink-ball experience for both the teams.

Though the pitch has not done much to help the bowlers, the ball has swung a lot, but after leaving the batsmen and made life difficult for Indian keeper Wriddhiman Saha. On the other hand, Bangladeshi batsmen started off cautiously but then tried to open their hands somewhat.

Ishant Sharma took the first wicket to fall for India with the pink ball, catching Imrul Kayes in front of the wicket. Kayes took a DRS review and lost it when the review showed all three reds and he had to go back. Then came Umesh Yadav in for his second spell and proved to be amazing.

Mominul Haque was looking good in the handful of balls he played, but Umesh Yadav got one to leave him after pitching on off stump and he tried to defend it, only managing to edge it towards the direction of first slip. However, Rohit Sharma, standing in second slip dived in front of him and picked off a blinder with one hand, to send back the Bangla captain back for a seven-ball duck.

Meanwhile, Indian team remained unchanged for this Test match, while Bangladesh made two changes, bringing in Al-Amin Hossain for Mustafizur Rahim and Nayeem Hasan for Mehidy Hasan Miraz
