The Indian team has been dominant in the longest format of the game for the past 3 years and so and has justified their no.1 ranking in Test as well with wins in Australia, England, South Africa, and West Indies while being undefeated at home for 11 continuous series.

This is majorly due to the success of Indian bowlers on very turf including the spinners. Though the fast bowlers have been garnering rave reviews for their efforts even in India in the recently concluded series against South Africa, R Ashwin made a very good comeback in the Vizag Test to pick a seven-wicket haul.

He has done well against Bangladesh as well in the ongoing Indore Test as well and during the break for the tea on day two, he dawdled out, took the ball in his hands and started bowling leg-spin. After a few erratic deliveries, he started landing a few and even knocked the stumps over. Ashwin has been adding new varieties to his bowling arsenal and showed leg-spin deliveries in IPL.

Meanwhile, another spinner Kuldeep Yadav was seen toiling hard in the sun during the break as well. Kuldeep has not had a good time in 2019 as he was dropped from the team during the latter part of the World Cup and has not played for India since the West Indies series that followed the ICC tourney.

As the players went back in at Lunch, Kuldeep marched out with fielding coach R Sridhar, rooted two stumps and started bowling again. Soon, they were joined by Bharat Arun, the bowling coach, and Ravi Shastri. Kuldeep kept bouncing in and kept landing the ball on a length getting it to spin back in.
