IND v AUS 2023: WATCH – “Hata usko,” Rohit Sharma furious after a spectator creates trouble in sight screen area

The Indian openers played out 10 overs in the final session on Day 2.

Rohit Sharma | ScreengrabIndia skipper Rohit Sharma and his opening partner Shubman Gill did well to stay unbeaten in a tricky phase of play on Day 2 of the fourth Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

While Rohit remained unbeaten on 17, Gill returned with 18 not out as the hosts ended the second day on 36/0, trailing the visitors by 444 runs in the first innings.  

The Indian openers played out 10 overs in the final session. During that period, Rohit also lost his cool as he screamed at a spectator for creating trouble in the sight screen area.

The Indian captain was heard screaming “Hata usko” and also pointed it out to the umpire, who too signalled the fan to get out of the way.

Coming to the match, Australia piled up a massive 480/10 in their first innings. Usman Khawaja starred with the bat, scoring 180 while opening the innings. Batting at No. 6, all-rounder Cameron Green also smashed a dazzling century (114).

For India, veteran off-spinner R Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers, returning with the figures of 6 for 91 in his 47.2 overs.
