The Duleep Trophy 2022 is all set to kick-start the Indian domestic season with the zonal tournament to be played in Tamil Nadu from September 8 to 25. The squads for four of the six teams have been announced so far with North Zone and East Zone announcing their team.
The North Zone will be led by Punjab batter Mandeep Singh with Dhruv Shorey being his deputy. The squad also comprises Indian pacer Navdeep Saini, Punjab seamer Siddharth Kaul and India U-19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull.
On the other hand, Manoj Tiwary will captain the East Zone team whereas Jharkhand’s Virat Singh will be the vice-captain of the side. The likes of Shahbaz Nadeem, Riyan Parag, Shahbaz Ahmed and Ishan Porel also featured in the 16-member squad.
