Indian players were left annoyed by the Bangladeshi openers’ time wasting tactics | TwitterTeam India are in the driver’s seat at the end of Day 2 in the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

Riding on Rishabh Pant's attacking knock of 93 and Shreyas Iyer's 105-ball 87, the visitors racked up 314 in their first innings, taking a significant lead of 87 runs.

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Zakir Hasan were batting on 5 and 2 respectively as the hosts negotiated six overs in the final session of the day without losing any wicket.

During the fag end of the second day, India’s stand-in skipper KL Rahul was left frustrated at Shanto for wasting time. At the end of the fourth over, some of the Bangladeshi players walked in with drinks while the southpaw called for a change of bat.

However, what left Rahul furious was that Shanto tried out four new bats and eventually picked the original one. The Indian captain complained about the batter’s antics to the umpires, who also seemed unhappy with the act.

During those tricky six overs of play, star India batter Virat Kohli was also left annoyed by the Bangladeshi openers’ time wasting tactics.

When Zakir Hasan began to tie his shoelaces after the fifth ball of what turned out to be the last over of the day, Kohli hilariously gestured him to remove his jersey as well so that he can waste some more time.

Bangladesh finished the second day at 7/0, still trailing India by 80 runs.
