India's fast bowler Mohammed Siraj bagged his first fifer in Test cricket in the fourth Test against Australia. Siraj, playing only his third Test, led an inexperienced bowling attack in the absence of senior bowlers in Brisbane.

After dismissing the last batsman of Australia, Josh Hazlewood in the second innings to complete the five-wicket haul, Siraj received a standing ovation while taking the team off. India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is out because of injury can be seen giving a hug to Siraj in the video shared by BCCI.

The support staff and Siraj's teammates were clapping for him for an outstanding bowling performance. "A standing ovation as Mohammed Siraj picks up his maiden 5-wicket haul. #AUSvIND #TeamIndia," wrote BCCI while posting the video.

It wasn't an easy series for Siraj who lost his father before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy started. He had the option to return home to attend the last rites but he stayed with the team to fulfill his father's dream to represent India in Tests.

In the last match at Sydney, the speedster was racially abused by the crowd. But he stood against them and didn't let the unruly behavior affect him mentally. The outcome for Siraj after fighting against all odds has been very satisfying.
